Carol moved to Mount Vernon in 2017 after serving as the Technology Coordinator at  Holy Cross Catholic School in Defiance, Ohio, for 24 years.  As Technology Coordinator she taught classes to grades PreK - 8 and provided teacher training, as well as, overseeing and maintaining all aspects of technology in the school.

After retiring and moving to Mount Vernon, Carol was eager to stay involved and continue learning about technology.  Before being hired as Directory of Technology she volunteered at Gay Street by updating the website and assisting with technology needs.  When Covid appeared, she volunteered to video tape/livestream sermons and make them available online for the church family and members of the community.

Carol and her husband, Fred, are the parents of three children, Kami (Eric) Diehl, Todd (Ann), and Reid (Jasmine). They have 11 grandchildren - Alex, Elizabeth, Rylan and Kyle live close by and Isabella, Abigail, Emma, Evie, Piper, Justice and Roxy live in California.  Spending time with family is their favorite thing to do!
