Minister of Connections
Rev. Dr. Mearle Griffith is our Minister of Connections working
with our committees and staff to help visitors and new members get oriented to our congregation and guide our efforts to retain and activate members.
Dr. Griffith brings extensive experience from all levels of our denomination—local, conference and denomination-wide service.

He was senior pastor at North Broadway United Methodist Church in Columbus and Church of the Saviour in Cincinnati.
​
Dr. Griffith was Director of Communications for the Iowa Annual Conference for more than a decade and also served as that conference’s Foundation Director.
Dr. Griffith also served for more than a decade at the national/international arena of the United Methodist Church as Associate General Secretary overseeing the program life of our denomination.
​
Mearle also was a national leader in Health and Welfare Ministries, serving as President/CEO of the church’s United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries. In that position he worked with 61 Children’s Homes, 64 Hospital Systems such as Ohio Health and more than 550 locations of senior living including Copeland Oaks and Otterbein Homes in our East Ohio Conference.

In Knox County, Mearle is Executive Director of HopeNow Furniture Bank and serves on the Board of Directors of Interchurch Social Services.
​
He is married to Jane, and they have two adult daughters,
Marci Snively and Maria Oliver. Both reside in rural Danville.
