Rev. Lauren has worked with children and youth in the church ministry setting since 1985. First as a volunteer, then on staff in local churches, then ordained as a deacon in the United Methodist church in 2017. Her undergrad is in Animal Husbandry - farm animal care and management - with which she intended to become a farmer. (You wouldn't believe the similarities between cows and humans!)  However, God had a different plan for her, when she found the joy of serving God's littles and teens in the church.

She has two grown sons and one tuxedo cat, Puddin'. If she could, she would still like a little farm. She loves gardening, vintage pottery, and tent camping. The variety of God's creation is amazing!
