It has been a privilege to be part of the music staff here at Gay Street UMC since October of 2010. Being the Youth Handbell director and working with our youth from 6th to 12th grade has been a very rewarding challenge that enriches my life every day. It is always exciting to see the kids succeed and push themselves beyond what they thought they could ever do. We play for the Glory of God and not ourselves and the kids take this responsibility seriously. It is very exciting to be part of this ministry.

I have lived in Mount Vernon since July of 1987 and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1994. In 1997, I became a member of Gay Street UMC and have been involved in Sunday school from Preschool to High school, missions and small groups. In June of 2013, I went to Liberia with a team of 9 people. Truly a life changing trip! I also have been a member of the Wesley Ringers adult handbell choir since 2008 and accompany music groups by playing flute every now and then. Music is a passion of mine. It moves me in so many ways and a way I become closer to God. I currently live in Fredericktown with my 3 children, Hannah, Cord and Chase, who are beginning to venture out and start lives of their own.
